Tutpup is an education website. There are many games to do with maths, spelling and algebra. The game is a great learning website. It can help you with things like spelling, times tables, algebra, maths addion and maths subtraction. I would rate the website a 10 out of 10 because it helps me learn. I would advise other kids to go on it and give it a go because it is really fun. It is aIso fun because you get to play against kids from other countries think it is a fun way of learning. Day 1
On Wednesday the 29th at 7 O’clock, 37 students and 3 teachers were on the bus getting ready to go to Melbourne. On the way we stopped in Inverleigh to go to the toilet and have a snack. Around 10:45 we arrived at science works. Around fifteen minutes later we were in the Planetarium. It was called search for life. It was all about the sky and the different stars and planets. The stars and the planets looked so real. I really enjoyed it. After the Search for Life we had fifteen minutes to look around science works. Then we walked around to the river and caught the fairy for the Melbourne River Cruise. It was really fun looking at all the great big tours and going under the bridges. The river cruise was my favorite thing that we had done on the first day. When we got off the river cruise we walked a long way to the Shrine of Remembrance. It was a great tour around the Shrine. It was a great view of Melbourne from the very top of the Shrine. We then caught a tram and went to the Melbourne discovery where we checked in and got told where we were staying and who was in our rooms. We then all went and put all our heavy bags in the rooms and had a rest for about 10 to 20 minutes. We had tea at five O’clock at Universal Pizza’s. For tea we had Garlic Pizza, two types of pastas and an ice cream for sweets. After tea the year fives went for a walk then back to Melbourne Discovery. The year six kids went and met Jessica. Jessica is one of the people trying to stop nuclear wars. Jessica talked to us about it. After Jessica had finished talking to us we walked back to our accommodation. At the Melbourne Disco very we went to the theaterette and watched The Bench warmers.
Day 2
We could not sleep the first night because everyone was being very loud. There was only one person out of twelve people in the same room as me that were asleep before 1 O’clock in the morning. We all got up around seven and seven thirty. We had breakfast at 8 O’clock. For breakfast we had cereal, toast and a drink of juice. At10:30 we caught a train that took us closer into the city. We then walked to the MCG. At 11:30 we took a tour around the MCG. We split into two groups. It was a year five group and a year six group. The tour was amazing. We went up to the fourth level and walked up to the very top seats. From the fourth level and the first row of seats it is around 49 steps to get to the very last row of seats. It was a great view of the whole ground. We also went into the club rooms. When the tour was over we had our lunch. For lunch we had a sandwich with ham, cheese and lettuce. We were also given an apple and a biscuit. After we had all finished our lunch we went to the Immigration museum. We then had tea at Trios around five, five thirty. At Trios I had a chicken lafe and a small drink of Lemonade. At 7 O’clock we went to the Eureka Sky deck. We went up to the 88th level. It was a great view at night. You could see all the different lights. On our way back to Melbourne Discovery, we stopped and watched flames go into the sky. Every go they would get bigger. The last one was the biggest it made a loud noise. We all went to bed really quickly that night.
Day 3
We had breakfast at 8:15. By then we had all striped off our beds and had our bags packed. For breakfast we had cereal, toast and a drink of juice. At 9:30 we had a tour around the Old Melbourne Gaol. We saw where Ned Kelly got hung and lots of different cells. At 11 O’clock we split into four groups and looked around the Queen Victoria Market. We had an hour and a half at the Queen Victoria Market. We left Melbourne around 12:30 to 1 O’clock. On the way home we stopped and had lunch at Inverleigh. We got home around 4:30. I had a fantastic trip but I was very tired that night.

In maths we had to learn about different times in the world. I was in a group with Georgia, Kirsten, Belinda, George and I. My group had to find information from the Stone Age.
The stone age was SMYA, witch means 5 million years ago.The stone age people knewthere were 365 days in a year by the position of the stars and the planets. When a day went by they put a stone down to count the days of each month so they knew when the months changed.
In the Stone Age men watched the stars witch told them the changes in the seasons. When the stars were up they knew it was night. The earliest time devices before the clocks and watches were the sundial, hourglass and water clock. The sundial is generally a round disk marked with the numbers 1 to 12 around it. It has an upright structure that casts a shadow on the disk. This is how the time is measured with the sundial. The hourglass was one of the other things used in Stone Age. The hourglass was made up of two rounded glass bulbs that were connected by a narrow neck of glass between them. When the hourglass is turned upside down sand ran through the thin neck into the bottom of the bottom bottle. It is like the egg timers we use today. The water clock was also used in the Stone Age. The water Clock was also known as the clepsydra. The water clock was an evenly marked container with a sprout in which water dripped out. As the water was dripping out of the container one could tell the time by the water level against the markings on the side of the container.
