Winter Sports
Yestirday some of the grade five six’s had winter sports in Port Fairy. I was in the A team. The A team won all there games and get to go to Portland on Friday. I was mainly goal attack. I am happy that we won all our games, but I am cross because I won’t be able to play on Friday in Portland because I have to get my braces on. The B team won all there games to but they don’t get to go any further. The teams were mixed between Hawkesdale and Woolstorpe.
Congratulations on making the A team and then on making the finals Rach. I am really disappointed for you not being able to play on Friday, but these things happen and your braces are really important. Remember you have to learn how to dance in the rain - that means that when something disappointing happens, you have to learn how to make the most of it. I know that doesn’t help does it, but you did a great job getting to the finals. Well done.

You know what Rach…thems the breaks…sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some. I reckon you re in a win, win situation. You had a great experience winning with your team, and now you are getting braces. Some of the kids I have seen during my holiday, barely get enough to eat each day, but they seem happy.
We really are lucky in Australia.
